This is the only class you must have to be qualified as fire suppresion personel. However, it is not the only class you should take if you want to advance as a wildland firefighter.
Peanut Pie has a tentative schedule of classes for 2009. These classes and their dates will be posted soon. The classes will be held from March through June, however, we will cancel classes that do not have the prerequisite number of students registered. Procrastination has a price—the closer we are to fire season (usually July) the more likely a class will be cancelled because we have been called to fight fires.
The yearly refresher (RT-130) will be offered at least twice for each month listed above. we will also offer to come to your location to teach our classes with the condition of an adequate number of students who have pre-registered. We don’t believe distance will be a problem so long as we have an adequate number of students. If you want a Peanut Pie class held in your area contact us.
Let’s hope for a safe and prosperous year.
Jim
