Annual Firefighter Refresher Course

Registration Code: RT-130

One-day class, Saturday only - Dates Offered: April 17th, or 24th, May 1st, June 5th or June 14th

Cost: $75.00

This is the required, yearly refresher class that reviews fundamental rules of engagement for wildland fire fighters. The emphasis is on safety and many of the exercises and scenarios will be conducted in the field. Dress warm and wear your PPE if you have it.

We expect class participation and a dynamic analysis of the changing hypotheticals that are submitted for the class. We will review and discuss disasters that have occurred with wildland firefighters.

Lunch will be provided.

Basic Wildland Firefighter

Registration Code: S-190, S-130, & I-100

Class Dates: May 7, 8, 9, 10 or May 28, 29, 30, 31, or June 18, 19, 20, 21

Cost: $250.00

The collection of classes that make up the Basic Wildand class are the foundational teachings for every wildland firefighter. If you are competent at applying the basics then you can be justifiably proud of your accomplishment. Dress for outdoor work because we do as much class in the field as possible.

These will be long days so don’t come to class tired. You will be a certified Wildland Firefighter upon completion.

This class requires at least 36 hours so be prepared for long days (but they will be fun).

Class starts at 8 am on the first day. Class ends about 5 pm on the final day.

Mini Engine Academy

Registration Code: S-131, RT-130, S-211

Class Dates: June 11th , 12th , 13th , and 14th

Cost: $300

This is a practical combination of classes for the preparation of an FF1 student. RT-130, S-131 & S-211 certificates will be awarded upon successful completion of this mini engine academy and a FF1 task book will be initiated for the student.

Virtually all work will be completed in the field (bring your PPE). You will work on wildland engines for this class and learn the skills involving safety, pumps, engines and crew management.

This is a great series of classes to take if want to truly be a competent instrument of water supply and its proper use, and to further your supervisory skills. Dress for outdoor work. Requires completion of FF2 requirements (Basic Wildland Firefighter). WORK CAPACITY TESTS may be administered upon request and weather permitting. Class starts at 8 am on the first day. Class ends about 5 pm on the final day.

We will add almost any class when we have enough interest to justify it. Just give us a call!
